Step - 1   Create a folder named "IE"

Step - 2   Go to MicroSoft's  web site by double clicking the Internet Explorer icon on the Reader page

Step - 3   Click the  [ Download Now ]  link to start the download

the window above will appear

Step - 4  Select a language, the click the  [ Go ]  button to continue; this will result in the screen below

Step - 5  Under the  DOWNLOAD     heading, click the  Internet Explorer 6 Service Pack 1  link  

 .
Step - 6  Read the agreement, check the accept button, then click  [ Go ]  to continue

..the dialogue box shown above will appear

Step - 7  With the "Save this program to disk" checked, click the  [ OK ]  button to start the download

.a  "Save As"  dialogue box will appear, as seen above, 
with some folder name showing in the  Save in:  field

Step - 8   Change the folder in the  Save in:   field to "IE" to save the "ie6setup" file to the "IE" folder, then click the  [ Save ]  button to start the process

a progress bar will appear, then disappear when complete.
The Internet Explorer setup file will reside in your IE folder.
